FlowPro—Our Sewer Line Repair Guarantee in Gardena, CA

A sewer line repair is only as good as the guarantee standing behind it, and in an industry where “satisfaction guaranteed” often means nothing more specific than a friendly tone on the phone, it’s worth spelling out exactly what a real guarantee covers, what it doesn’t, and why it’s structured the way it is.

What’s Covered in Our Satisfaction Guarantee

Workmanship guarantee

5+ years on the labor and installation for any spot repair, trenchless lining, pipe bursting, or full replacement we perform. If the repaired section fails specifically due to an installation error within that period, meaning the failure traces back to how the repair itself was done rather than a new, unrelated problem, we return and correct it at no cost to you. This is the core of the guarantee, and it’s the part that should be non-negotiable regardless of which company you hire.

Materials guarantee. Modern PVC and ABS pipe, along with CIPP lining materials, carry manufacturer-rated multi-decade service life under normal conditions. Where a manufacturer’s material warranty applies independently of our own workmanship guarantee, meaning the pipe or liner material itself is defective rather than the installation, we provide that documentation with your final paperwork so you have both the manufacturer’s coverage and ours on file.

Permit compliance guarantee. Every repair is performed to current City of Gardena code under Municipal Code Chapter 13.04, and inspected under permit. If a permit inspection identifies a compliance issue with our work specifically, correcting it is on us. It is never billed back to you as a change order or an unexpected add-on.

What’s Not Covered

Being upfront about exclusions matters more than the coverage itself, because a guarantee that claims to cover everything usually covers nothing in practice once you read the fine print.

New, unrelated damage. A guarantee on the section we repaired doesn’t extend to a separate section of aging pipe that later develops its own, independent failure. If your home has other sections of original clay or cast iron pipe beyond what was repaired, and one of those sections fails on its own timeline, that’s diagnosed and quoted as a new issue, not treated as a warranty claim against work that was never in scope.

Damage from causes outside the repair. Physical damage from later excavation by another contractor or utility crew, a tree planted directly over the repaired line after the fact, or plumbing modifications made by someone else after our work was completed aren’t covered under the original workmanship guarantee. The guarantee covers our work as we left it, not what happens to the property afterward.

Pre-existing conditions outside the original scope. If the original camera inspection and repair addressed a specific, documented section of the line, the guarantee applies to that section. It doesn’t automatically extend to the full length of pipe if only part of it was ever in scope for that job. This is exactly why the camera footage and written diagnosis from the original job matter as records.

How This Compares to Industry Norms

Workmanship guarantees in the sewer and drain trade commonly range from one year up to a lifetime term depending on the company and the repair method, while manufacturer material warranties on trenchless lining products are frequently much longer since the materials themselves are engineered for multi-decade service. There’s no single universal standard, which is exactly why it matters to see the actual term in writing rather than relying on a company’s general reputation for “standing behind their work.”

Why We Structure It This Way

A lot of guarantees in this industry are written broadly enough to sound reassuring and narrowly enough in the fine print to rarely pay out. We’d rather tell you exactly what’s covered up front than have you find out what isn’t covered when you’re already dealing with a problem. If something is genuinely a workmanship issue on our repair, it gets fixed. Full stop, no negotiation about whether it “really” qualifies.

How to Make a Claim

If you believe an issue falls under the workmanship guarantee, call us and reference your original job or invoice number. We’ll schedule a camera inspection of the previously repaired section at no cost, to confirm whether the issue is a workmanship failure covered under guarantee or a separate, new issue outside the original scope. You’ll get a straight answer either way, in writing, along with next steps.

Guarantee vs. Insurance vs. Manufacturer Warranty

These three terms get used interchangeably by homeowners, but they cover different things, and knowing the difference matters when something goes wrong. Our workmanship guarantee covers our own installation work specifically. A manufacturer’s material warranty, where one applies, covers a defect in the pipe or liner material itself, independent of how it was installed. Your homeowners insurance, separately, may or may not cover certain causes of sewer line failure at all, and as covered elsewhere on this site, typically doesn’t cover age-related or root-intrusion damage without a specific service line rider. These three protections can overlap on a single job, but none of them substitute for the others, which is exactly why we document all three separately in your final paperwork rather than folding them into one vague “coverage” statement.

What a Guarantee Claim Looks Like From Start to Finish

  1. You call and describe the issue. Reference your original job or invoice number so we can pull the camera footage and diagnosis from the original repair.
  2. We schedule of the previously repaired section, typically within an hour
  3. We run the camera again and compare the current condition against the original post-repair verification footage.
  4. We give you a written determination: either the issue is a workmanship failure covered under guarantee, in which case we schedule the correction at no cost, or it’s a separate, new issue outside the original scope, in which case we explain exactly why and quote it as its own job.
  5. If it’s a covered claim, we complete the correction and re-verify with the camera again, the same standard applied to the original job.

This process exists specifically so a guarantee claim doesn’t come down to a disagreement over the phone. The camera footage from both the original job and the follow-up inspection is what actually settles the question, not anyone’s memory of what was promised.

License and Insurance Behind the Guarantee

A guarantee is only as solid as the business behind it, which is why it matters to verify who you’re actually dealing with, not just take a company’s word for its credentials.
